We care for the Health, Safety and Welfare of our employees and others.
Symsoft works actively with clarifying and emphasizing what we stand for as a company, as an employer, and as a global player. This means seeing our part and acting responsible to create a sustainable environment, promote fair labor and business practices and support human rights.
We choose to support organizations whose ideas are in line with our company values, and look for ways to use our competence and technology to promote our causes.
Symsoft makes extensive provisions for the Health, Safety and Welfare of our employees at work and of others who may be affected by Symsoft’s activities. Symsoft cares for the environment through its commitment to good environmental practices, and enacts high standards of business conduct. Those who do business with Symsoft are expected to do the same. To help employees attain these goals, Symsoft has, in association with its parent company CLX Communications, laid down a code of conduct and an equal opportunity plan.
Symsoft Products are developed in-house. However, to supply complete solutions Symsoft uses external suppliers, for example to provide hardware components. Thus, Symsoft suppliers contribute significantly to the social, financial and environmental impact in places where Symsoft conducts business. Furthermore, by procuring goods and services in the process of developing our products, Symsoft’s actions influence the social, financial and environmental environment of our suppliers. To minimize negative environmental impact and work towards proper business conduct throughout the value chain, Symsoft takes these questions into account when selecting suppliers.
Industry-wide initiatives also plays an important part in promoting long-term sustainability and fairness. Symsoft endorses the following initiatives:
- EICC Code of Conduct
- GeSI (Global e-Sustainbility Initiative)
- EICC-GeSI Extratives Working Group
- iNEMI (International Electronics Manufacturing Initiative)
- OECD Due Dilligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Rish Areas
- UN Global Compact, 10 principles
- CERES Principles
Symsoft is a member of UN Global Compact and adheres to the 10 principles. As part of this, we publish a yearly report on our CSR efforts. The latest report can be downloaded here.
