Charging and messaging experts Symsoft to deliver messaging platform upgrade to Åland Mobile  

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, 26 May 2011 – Symsoft, a trusted expert and supplier of charging and messaging solutions for mobile operators, today announced the delivery of a messaging platform upgrade to Åland Mobile.

Åland Mobiltelefon AB (ÅMT), a mobile carrier operating one of the two mobile networks in the Åland Islands, has upgraded its existing messaging platform from Symsoft to extend its network messaging capacity.

The new platform based on Intel®-hardware will provide a cost-efficient path to increase messaging capacity. The upgraded solution will also enable ÅMT to launch new SMS-related services faster and more efficient than today.

Extended features of the enhanced platform include:
• Support for home routing, including personal black & white list
• Possibility for a mobile phone to automatically copy SMS text messages to another mobile phone
• Possibility for a mobile phone to automatically forward SMS text messages to another mobile phone
